About Our Program

At AFSP, children ages 5-14 experience an action-packed summer filled with exciting activities as they develop friendships and build life skills. During our six-week program, children do art projects and science experiments, play recreational games, take music and theater classes, enjoy visits from special guests and much more, all under the careful direction of our exceptional staff. A visit from an Ice cream truck tops off every fun-filled week. With so much to do, kids can follow their interests and have novel experiences that spark their imagination. We maintain a high level of communication with parents, and provide a weekly newsletter describing the week's activities.

AFSP welcomes children with and without special learning needs. We are committed to helping every child flourish, and to all having a positive and memorable summer. Our low staff-to-child ratio allows us to offer highly individualized support for all children, especially those who need extra help socializing with others, advocating for their needs, and solving every-day problems, abilities that will help them throughout life.

Housed at the beautiful facilities of New Canaan Country School, our program runs from June 28th-August 6th. We offer a full day program for $650.00 per week with a half day option for $325.00 per week, with a two week minimum. Early drop off and extended day program are available for an additional fee.

We also offer a special rate for an hour of one-to-one academic tutoring for children who have a specific area of need, or for children wanting to improve existing skills. Highly individualized instruction in the areas of reading comprehension, decoding, math, handwriting, written expression and basic language skills is offered.

AFSP is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to improving the lives of children. Parent Testimonials
