Achieve Fluency Summer Program

At AFSP, children ages 5-14 experience an action-packed summer filled with exciting activities as they develop friendships and build life skills. During our six-week program, children engage in art projects and science experiments, play recreational games, take music and theater classes, enjoy visits from special guests and much more, all under the careful direction of our exceptional staff. A visit from an ice cream truck tops off every fun-filled week. With so much to do, youngsters can follow their interests and have novel experiences that spark their imagination. We maintain a high level of communication with parents, and provide a weekly newsletter describing the week's activities. AFSP welcomes children with and without special learning needs. We are committed to helping every child flourish, and to all having a positive and memorable summer.

Our low staff-to-child ratio allows us to offer highly individualized support for all children, especially those who need extra help socializing with others, advocating for their needs, and solving every-day problems. We focus on abilities that will help them throughout life.

The Facilities

Our program is housed at New Canaan Country School where we are surrounded by beautiful buildings, stately maple trees, and lush expanses of beautiful lawns. The campus sits on a 75 acre preserve where we have access to playgrounds and athletic fields, a reading garden, a beautiful nature trail, and black top areas designated for games and group activities. When inside children have the use of classrooms and a gymnasium. Our facilities at this premier private school are first rate and ensure that our attendees are comfortable while they have an action-packed and enjoyable summer.

New Canaan Country School is located at 545 Ponus Ridge, New Canaan, CT 06840.
