Asperger's Support Group

Children with Asperger's are truly unique individuals with their own particular strengths and weaknesses. While no two children are ever the same, many with Asperger's are alike because they tend to share the same characteristic of poor social and interpersonal skills.  By participating in our support groups, individuals between the ages of 16-21 with Asperger's Syndrome will benefit from the opportunity to develop a meaningful understanding of the hidden rules involved in social interactions.  Through discussion, guidance, insight-building and role-playing, our facilitator creates a supportive peer group setting which provides concrete ways for group members to improve "people skills" in a reassuring, safe environment.
